Role and responsibilities of an Executive Sponsor

The Information and records management standard requires a designated Executive Sponsor.  That person must have organisation-wide influence and appropriate strategic and managerial skills.

As a first step, public offices and local authorities must nominate an Executive Sponsor for the organisation and advise Archives New Zealand who that person is.
